What services do you offer?We provide professional and confidential online therapy to support individuals, couples, and families in navigating life’s challenges. Depression & Mood Disorders – Support for persistent sadness, low motivation, emotional numbness, and mood instability. Anxiety & Panic Disorders – Therapy for general anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, and chronic stress. Work-Related Stress Management – Coping strategies for workplace burnout, high-pressure environments, and career-related anxiety. Couples & Family Counselling – Strengthening relationships, improving communication, and resolving conflicts, separation, heading towards divorce we can help you. Anger Management – Understanding and managing anger in a healthy, constructive way. Trauma Counselling – Support for past trauma, PTSD, and emotional wounds affecting daily life. What therapy methods do you use?We use a variety of therapy methods including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) to embrace positive behaviours and trauma-informed care, among others.

Is online therapy effective?Yes, online therapy has been shown to be effective for many individuals. It offers the same quality of care as in-person sessions for those seeking flexibility with the added convenience of being accessible from anywhere. Our hours are Monday - Friday 9AM to 9PM and Saturdays 9AM - 4PM. It’s suitable for many mental health concerns, but if you’re unsure, feel free to contact us for guidance. *Please note our online Psychotherapy and Counselling services are not an Emergency Service for crisis intervention. If you experience a crisis or emergency, contact emergency services immediately by dialing 000.

Do you offer in-person therapy or just online?Currently, we offer online therapy only. However, we have an open wait list for in-person therapy sessions. You can sign up through our website under 'Contact Us' or call (02) 8609 3067 and you will then be notified when slots become available.

Where can I attend my online therapy sessions?We offer online therapy to clients Australia-wide, and you can attend your sessions from anywhere in the world. As long as you have a stable internet connection and a private, confidential space, you can use your phone, tablet, or computer to join. We use Zoom for all our sessions, which provides a secure and easy platform for connecting. Whether you’re at home, travelling, or in another location, you can continue your appointments without interruption.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?No, you do not need a referral to book an appointment with us. You can book directly through our website under 'Contact Us' or by contacting us on (02) 8609 3067.

How can I talk to someone before booking an appointment?If you have any questions or would like to discuss whether therapy is right for you before booking, we offer a free 15-minute consultation. How much does Psychotherapy and Counselling cost?At Psychotherapy and Counselling Clinic Sydney, we believe in making quality mental health support accessible. Our session fees are as follows: Individual Therapy (Online, 60 minutes): $180 Couples Therapy (Online, 60 minutes): $200 Addiction Therapy (Online, 60 minutes): $180 Private Health Insurance and NDIS We accept all major private health insurance for eligible clients (see FAQ for the list). Please check with your provider regarding coverage for counselling and psychotherapy. We work with NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants. If you're an NDIS participant, we can assist with therapeutic support tailored to your needs. Payment Methods We accept payments via credit/debit card or bank transfer at the time of booking. Do you offer Medicare or private health insurance rebates?Yes, we offer private health rebates for our therapy services. Please check with your health insurance provider for more details. Appointment availabillity?We offer flexible online therapy appointments to suit your schedule. Sessions are available Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 9 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM. How often should I attend therapy sessions?We recommend weekly appointments for the first 6–10 sessions to achieve visible progress and meaningful therapy outcomes. The duration of therapy varies for each individual, depending on factors such as the severity of the issue, personal commitment, and external support. Overcoming addiction, gambling issues, and improving mental health is a journey, and we tailor our approach to your unique needs. As you progress, session frequency may be adjusted to fortnightly or monthly for ongoing support and relapse prevention. Long-term therapy can help maintain recovery, build resilience, and address any challenges that arise. We work collaboratively to ensure you have the right level of support at each stage of your healing process.

How long is a session?Each session typically lasts between 45 to 60 minutes.

What should I expect in the first session?In the first session, we conduct a trauma-informed pre-treatment assessment, which includes a comprehensive mental health assessment, substance severity of dependence screener (for addictions) and discuss your needs and goals.

What is your Cancellation Policy?We understand that unexpected situations arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee. This policy helps ensure we can offer appointment times to clients in need.
